Caisse d'Épargne x Designerbox

La Caisse d'Épargne is a cooperative bank and is part of the second largest banking group in France.

In order to thank and build loyalty among its customers, the Caisse d'Épargne Loire Centre wanted to celebrate an important moment in their lives, the birth of their child, symbolized by the subscription of a "Livret A" birth account at their branch.

Aware that the financial gifts historically allocated to all new Livret A account holders were not fully satisfactory in terms of loyalty, the Caisse d'Épargne wanted to build an offer around a more embodied and useful gift box. Around a strong and selfless attention.

With this in mind, Designerbox proposed several product ideas to the Caisse d'Epargne Loire Centre, including a piggy bank inspired by the famous Didy squirrel, created in 1950 and inseparable from the Caisse's image.

The various proposals were developed with the designers of Maison deux, who are experienced in the theme of childhood. The Caisse d'Épargne was seduced by the contemporary and playful version of Didy proposed by the designers and developed by Designerbox.

Imagined as a 3-dimensional puzzle and made entirely of wood from France, Didy was developed with personalized packaging and a 4-page explanatory booklet containing a message from the member of the Board of Directors and detailing the Caisse's initiative around childhood.

Sent every month by Designerbox to the parents of all young people who have signed up for a Livret A birth account, Didy will keep an eye on the savings of the little ones, while adding a decorative and joyful touch. And above all, through this attention, the Caisse d'Epargne will remember its customers in the long run... !

"We were seduced by Designerbox's proposal: tradition and modernity, aesthetics, short circuit, useful design..."
